Great black and white photographers

Mount Williamson - the Sierra Nevada,
from Manzanar, California
1945
by. Ansel Adams

I chose this photograph because it reminds me of where I was born and where I grew up. Its almost like I can feel the weather and the rocks
through the photo and it brings me home.

Robert Doisneau
Sunday morning in Arcueil
1945

I chose this photo
because it has the feeling of comfort and care of a small town. In the photo you can tell everyone knows everyone and you get a real special sense of community.

Sebastião Salgado
Refugees in the Korem camp
Ethiopia, 1984

This is my favorite photographer and photograph out of the three here because it shows how much we take for granted. You can see in the photograph how tired they are, just trying to stay alive. The people in the photograph are crossing a desert just trying to find safety and stay alive.
